Hi Kyle,
I switched from being with MagicYoYo for 11 years to Yomega recently. I am starting my second year with Yomega.
Since the switch I have been becoming familiar with the newer models. I do like the Pro x2 out of the non-responsive models. The x2 and Groove II are my current favorites. I have been throwing the Groove II a lot lately. I tend to go back forth with different models.
The x2 is a full sized yo-yo versus the Groove II which is mid sized. The x2 has a little more weight than some of the other yo-yos I’ve thrown. It is around 67 grams. The weight has been an advantage with a few tricks I have been working on landing.
The thing I noticed with the new Yomega models is the packaging in addition to performance. In 2013 the first release of the Glide came in a plastic box with graphics and an extra string. The newer pro models come with a lot of accessories. They all have two bearings one concave and the other flat for more response.
I hope this helps.
Here are a few photos.

Mine came in, and I’ve got to say I’m somewhat conflicted about it, haha. BUT, not as bad as I was imagining, with a caveat.
For unresponsive play, it was fairly rough for me, spin time feels limited, the polished finish isn’t great for grinds, and it can feel a bit sharp on the catch when returning fast. Overall just doesn’t really hit the play and feel that I personally enjoy.
That being said, where this REALLY shines though is responsive play. The responsive bearing did need a little lube out of the box (mine was nearly unresponsive at first), but once I threw some drops in there, it plays extremely well (minus those sharp high-speed come-backs). Spin time is surprisingly solid for responsive, the gap handles string stacking nicely without a lot of slow-down, and it’s stable enough for a good amount of modern responsive tricks, classic play, and even some light 1A and stall-based tricks. It’s actually become one of my better responsive players, more towards that 1A grey area, and I plan to keep it set that way.
TLDR: Unresponsive, meh. From the responsive side, I think it’s pretty flexible!
