Looks real sweet, but 80 grams, I consider outside of my comfort zone.
I am not saying that to discourage anybody. That I don’t normally like HEAVY yo-yos, I could be the only one that has that opinion.
I mean, it is the Signature yo-yo of one heck of a Player. So, at his level, he obviously has a better understanding of potential advantages of the extra weight.
And, also consider if a yo-yo has that 80 grams set up in optimal weight distribution, the yoyo(other than the loop at the finger constriction) it probably feels closer to maybe 70 grams.
So… in ‘my mindset that 80 is waaaaay too heavy, if I played the yo-yo first and really really liked it…… and then somebody told me it was 80 grams, that possible mental block limitation would probably fade out rapidly, lol.
To me this is like the conundrum of ‘salty French fries’. Somebody you know keeps telling you there’s a place down the street that makes the best hamburgers and french fries. The hamburgers are a cut above any other place in town. And the french fries are great if you like fries that actually taste like potatoes. But the fries are so salty. I don’t mean just salty. I mean so salty and even people that like salt will say they need to back off a little bit.
So you just avoid the place for months. And then one of your coworkers or school mates drops by and brings everybody a hamburger and some french fries.
You eat the fries and you love them. And your friend says, hey clown, those are the fries I was telling you about… The super salty ones.
And they are so salty the salt is stinging your fingers and burning your lips. And you just keep eating your way to the bottom of the container.
Because they are so good you like them anyway.
So it’s possible that a yo-yo can weigh 80 grams, and yet at the same time play at such a high-performance level that use your shrug, your shoulders and say, well I mainly don’t like heavy yo-yos but this one is so good. I don’t even care.
Any thoughts on the Mico?
