I got a Garrett today and the bearing appears to be better than most of the others I have. Spins really quietly and long when I spin it just in the seat on one half. On their sale page it sometimes said something like “includes the coveted ___ bearing” but there’s no page there now. Is it common knowledge? Anyone remember the name and whether it can be bought anywhere? I realize most bearings are good enough, but it might be nice to get the best for a favorite or two.
The page said “We include the coveted DS bearing like always!”
i have an a-grade triptych that has a gold nsk
Yes they use the nsk ds bearings the standard steel ones
I thought only the Platinum and Gold were made by NSK?
Only the platinum and gold are made by nsk. The steel are not. If it has 10 balls it’s steel and not an nsk. If it’s 8 ball it’s plat or gold and made by nsk.
I actually don’t think nsk is a good fit for a-rt yo-yos. It will make the yo-yo feel “stiff‘ on the string.
I don’t know guys I think it is this one
That is the listing. But is specifically says at the end only plat and gold are made by nsk.
“Also now available in Gold and Platinum versions manufactured by NSK Micro!”
