I want to clean the size B (?) bearing in my Loop 720 (Sunrise Upgrade Kit). When cleaning my other bearings, I have no problem removing the shields, but so far I can’t get this one open. How do you do it? Do you leave the shields on or remove them when cleaning?
it’s the same just smaller. took me like half an hour. i dont think theres a good way to do it lmao
use a needle and hold the bearing with pliers or something so you dont stab yourself

I leave the shields on for cleaning. I can’t be bothered to deshield the small bearings

I love deshielding tiny bearings. B, MR85, etc! With practice I can do it in about one minute. I use a pb Swiss 1.5 slotted (flat head) screwdriver from their precision set. Often I will leave the bearing in a yoyo half while removing the shields because when trying to do it while holding the bearing I have stabbed the screwdriver directly into my thumb. Obviously be careful not to scratch the yoyo this way though.
