Dif-e-Yo Dif-Pads? Alternatives?

^after curing the JV7 for 24hrs and cleaning up

^after maybe 45min total of play? Probably a dozen binds or so I’d guess. I have to say, between polishing this thing and this new response set up, it’s incredible. Dead smooth on a good throw, and just way easier to control.

Feels really good to breath new life into this old thing, it was my first non-responsive :yo-yo::heart:

As for the adhesion, I really don’t think this is going to peel any time soon, this stuff sticks to aluminum cylinder heads and valve covers like crazy, at the very least lol. Giving it some prodding with a tooth pick it feels like I’m in the clear.

That is a crazy look. Wow.

I do like a polish raw silver lol

Are the pads holding up okay? (And is the string holding up to the pads? They look almost abrasive.)

So I think they are broken in now it’s holding up great. I think it may be a little too grabby, as if I tug it up hard enough it responds. I just got new string and a new bearing in the mail moments ago, I’ll do some experimenting and report back.

It definitely is NOT going to peel off prematurely, I’ll tell you that much lol

Update: I put some time into freeing my Dif Konkave from my starlite, and put it back in the Widesport. It is no longer tug-responsive, and binds nice and snappy. Love it!!! For those curious, I will be trying an OT Konkave in that, along with their blue pads
