Yas! Just grabbed a nqp cheapest state to see if it lived up to the hype, and oh em gee… It exceed my expectations!!! Mine plays like this out of the box and I keep finding myself reaching for it throughout the day!
I did swap out the energy domes with micro flat caps. I tried some brass micro caps but I preferred the aluminum ones in it.
Also, how awesome is it that they dropped the hypno side effects for sale separately?! I grabbed a pair of those as well. I almost got the black cerakote version just for the caps, but I knew I would baby that yoyo and hesitate to take it out, which isn’t fair because this throw is a player!
Was also glad for the black so I could replace the one I dinged

Now there’s a laugh. 
“Cheapest State”… I am very amused. Mostly because I grabbed one, too. I mean, I like the splashes and fades and so forth but I wanted solid colour. What I really wanted was some saturated colours like dark blue, dark green, etc. but in the end it was a colour I could live with in a yoyo I love so now I have a spare.
Throw it in Good Health and any other little town you happen to be near.

That’s the method for Deepest imo. I don’t think about it deeper (lol) than that bc it does what I need it to in an utterly satisfying way.
Ultra, I’m using mostly Executive or Smoothie string. Fluff was a little unruly in it.
I reeeeeeally like how that black cerakote turned out. Feels and plays great. I need to bang it on some stuff bc I feel like a poser w it being so clean, but I’m not gonna ding it artificially lol. It’ll happen.
it’s been such a trip to have seen this develop and see it in the context of other “modern responsive” throws over the past 17 years or so since it developed as a counterpoint to the evolution of mainstream unresponsive. Feels like we really arrived at what we’ve been trying to do.
i almost pulled the trigger just now but i cannot justify $37 shipping americans count your days. if only i was lucky enough to have an accessible hobby…
See if you can find one on the BST for cheap? That might absorb some of the shipping cost. Also commercial USPS shipping is just way more expensive.

Where are you located and what does shipping cost usually?
A world with no borders would certainly be a beautiful thing would it not? Business and economy would boom like never before. There are certainly things I’ve wanted from abroad but alas, the shipping gave me pause. 
There’s a chance they’ll still be available in a week, but probably not two. 
It’s a shame there aren’t any Canadian retailers that stock One Drop yoyos.

Happy to confirm that flush silicone with a greasebucket is awesome - way less snaggy, but still responsive enough to end everything with a flyaway
This bodes well for using a narrow bearing. I was getting too much snag unless I used more shim than I wanted to. Getting rid of the Flow Groove’s slight protrusion into the gap might be all that’s needed to counter that. I’ll find out soon.
