I’ve always tried to hang on to this one just cause it’s the deepest ano I’ve seen on one, really pretty. The other side has a lot of blue in it. A very pretty throw. I was thinkin bout swappin out the clears for black flats, but I can’t find any at home.
I also got another one in a really pretty Eugene market colorway en route. I was thinking about trying to catch them all, but that’s sooo many throws. They’ve done soooo many deep state releases.
Still, a noble endeavor to be sure. If ya lookin for a yoyo that deserves it, look no further.
I’m still awaiting my cosmic hippo which has been sitting in customs for a week now (they better not ding it up before I get to) and these pics are making me regret not going for the iko colourway.. cool pics!
A Delrin Deepest State would sure be handy how that temperatures are dropping. It’s warm enough to be outside in the sun, but there is no stopping metal yo-yos from becoming ice cold.
Got a Stay Gold edition coming in the mail! My first modern responsive throw, I’m curious to know what people have found they enjoyed most when changing side effects? And what thickness of string would you guys recommend! Can’t wait I ordered a few side effects on the side too so I’ll have some to experiment with!
Awesome! I notice a big difference on flip tricks and such switching out side effects on the deepest state. I think they effect it’s character more noticeably than on regular unresponsive side effect yo-yos, due to the major difference in play style. Popping in my brass mini domes was a “woah!” Experience
I still keep my energy domes in, because mine is half swapped blue and silver, and the domes are swapped gold and red, my interpretation of the project @codinghorror was championing with this release, and we are halfswap buddies as well

Yeah brass SE’s are a major increase in center weight, which can have a big effect. The aluminums have some weight differential but brass is 2× the weight of Alu.
(Oddly, energy domes are the heaviest at 3.5g Alu / 8.0g Brass .. that wasn’t the reason they were chosen, it was aesthetics and the Devo band activism reference, but worth noting.)
Nice I wish I would have grabbed some brass ones! I currently will be getting ultra lights, energy domes, two flats and mini spikes iirc across the three throws I bought and the ones I grabbed from the website gonna have to try em all
I’m liking that! I picked up some brass domes for my Still Rollin’ because…well…“gold” just goes better with purple to me. [shrug] I’ll see how they do. I’m looking at a set of spikes for the Deepest State. It’s red and I’d really like black spikes but I think I can get behind green ones. Hafta call it “Santa” though. I didn’t know about the Devo reference, but I spotted the look on the power domes immediately. Man, 1980 was a long time ago.
I’m going to have to think hard about another Deepest. I’d like one and the colours are so, so cool. I finally located my old box of throws from back when. There’s a few things in there that don’t spin my toque anymore or they’re NIP and I won’t ever use them so it’s time to turn them into a couple of nice trades.
