Yeah, I’m not sure about it. I think the enso could have been in the O of the “edITON”, but this is Ed’s pro model, and it’s a big part of who he is. What’s the texture of it, smooth or rough?

I def wasn’t trying to sneak the engraving by anybody. As was said, that symbol is meaningful to me and I like that it’s on there, both aesthetically and symbolically. I hope you can sell it, even marred as it is.
I do find it amusing that when I pull up the One Drop site, there it is staring at me in all its glory lol.

Also, I’m not displeased. Like I said, it’s an amazing throw! At first I thought that engraving was an ano error and it was only mine, I didn’t know about the engraving. Which is ultimately my own failing. I should have investigated further.
It was just an initial hiccup. Now I can’t stop throwing it.

I noticed something in the one cup, but it didn’t dawn on me that it was an engraving. I was thinking weird reflection or water. It did mention Ensō engraving in the text, but for some reason I didn’t connect the dots. I bought the Iko Iko and I’m still excited to get it!

I dunno bud, maybe “deliberately obfuscated” is a bit heavy of a term. As far as the photos go, why choose that though? I tell you what, it was incredibly effective!
At this point I’ve gotten to help design and release a bunch of yo-yos, which is super cool. Inevitably someone (or several someone’s) will express that something about it looks terrible or dumb, which feels the opposite of cool, but thems the breaks. You do your best and don’t intend to release something someone will think looks like a dog turd. That’s just how it is putting ideas out there. I still like it. (And on the non 2-tones it does help me to have a big engraving in terms of the string polarity.)

It’s really ok. Everybody likes dif stuff. If I’m gonna have an idea and have it slapped on a yoyo I gotta have a thick enough skin to be ok when people don’t like it.

I caved and order a grease bucket (and v4m, FINALLY!!!), but it’s been playing perfectly with the set up I have now. I may just put it in my p000, the idea of making it responsive has been in my head for some reason haha
