Deepest State

@DocPop demonstrated his method of applying Traxxis. I can’t tell if the bearing has shields.

Just pulled the trigger on some Grease Buckets (3 pack). Will be nice to not have to pop shields back open

I’ve gotta say I totally agree. I’ve been making my own and it’s not too awful difficult but it’s also very nice to have an option to just buy one pre-packed

I really wanna… I’m waiting till more lube is in stock first

I use this same technique on bearings with shields and bearings without. The PLTPS isn’t shielded (it’s a halfSPEC bearing) and the Weekender is shielded (an A bearing with rubber shields). Adding grease to the sides seems to affect them the same though. I’ve been playing my Deepest State stock, but might add some lube on the sides to bump up the response a tiny bit.

i put 2 drops of my duncan looping lube on mine and it snapped it up just enough that i don’t think I’ll need to get a grease bucket

We CAN achieve the ‘Deepest State’ and call it the 'Vote" colorway, blue is the base!

Voting is the only play peeps. :musical_notes: People are people so why should it be… you and I should get along so awefully. DumpDumpDump!.. :musical_notes:

Did you hit that with a red light for the silver to come up red? Getting Pokemon Red/Blue (and maybe yellow with the side effect) vibes

Oh geeze, the morning after. I was up late throwing down more than my yo-yo. It’s my “birthday month” as my daughter has branded it. Lol.

To answer your question, chat GPT changed it for me. Secondly, I apologize to whom ever I stole the picture from. I can’t seem to find the post that I cropped.

Silly post

From my first play session, I’ve discovered that my Deepest State responds to the lightest tug like a lion smelling fresh blood; hitting me in the hand with immense velocity. That’s with the stock One Drop bearing, too. I fear putting the greasebucket in. I probably need to throw it more to make the hyper-responsiveness wear off, but it hits me in the hand so hard that I can’t throw it more than a couple of times before I have to stop.

don’t throw so hard. there’s no reason to throw a yoyo as hard as you can every single time and if you aren’t doing a bunch to ditch some of that momentum before calling it back, it’s gonna transfer that energy to the return. also depends on what tricks you’re trying. if you’re doing more 1a type stuff you may need to throw a little harder to get some extra spin. if you’re doing like stalls or just playing catch you can and should throw much softer

I throw a bunch of breakaways to break in the bearing. Lighten up that throw some?

Most of the time I decide what I’m doing after I throw the yoyo. Call me lazy.

Played with it again just now and I figured out that if I pull the string more gently than Santa’s footfalls on Christmas Eve, then it comes back less quickly. I’m still catching it sorta sideways for now just in case.

Could try adding in a loop to burn off speed if it’s comin back hot

So I’ve had the Deepest State for a while now, basically since the initial drop. I also managed to snag a Grease Bucket bearing at the drop and that bearing is 100% perfect for C Bearing responsives. Grabbed a few of the grease buckets because I needed them in all my C Bearing responsives lol.

So, the Deepest State is without a doubt the best C Bearing responsive I’ve ever played (very close second would be the Thing by DocPop), and is quickly becoming my favorite responsive yoyo of all time. Its just perfection and happiness with every toss. I think I read that @edhaponik said that this will change your mind about C Bearing responsives, and thats 1000% correct.

Kudos to all involved, a banger yoyo in every way. So happy to have one in the collection, and look forward to seeing more colors and more yoyos getting into more peoples hands.

Personally looking forward to a matching set of Deep, Deeper, and Deepest state in a “market” colorway. Hopefully Tuesday or Saturday (a boy can dream)

So I have waited to post any sort of review- specifically because I #1 wanted to see what everyone else thought #2 I wanted to try the different setups for that were available - plus listen to the options everyone else was using and #3 I will be honest….. I was skeptical because of the hype, but I did buy both splash versions right as they released.

Now with all that said, I am strictly a responsive player. I enjoy a more narrow gap throw and I am still learning new tricks all the time. (For reference I love the OD Deep State, YYF Confusion, Came-yo Mondial, ZGRT El Mijo. The largest gap I usually throw would be the Duncan Freehand or Caribou Lodge PeakHand)

I do not own a Deeper State but I will say I find the Deepest State in the perfect range for me.

Do I love my Deep State immensely. And am always looking to buy a few more. I wish they would do another run of them in different platings.

The Deepest State is simply a pleasure to throw with the right amount of balance, weight and response.

Now I need to buy a grease bucket.

(Oops just spoiled the name of the next version!)

I’m excited to see where they go with a cerakote release. I mean, they done both prior DS. I wonder what color they’re gonna go with.
