Deepest State

Alight, alright, I’m trying to not buy more yoyos for a while. I avoided the first one, by saying that I didn’t really need it and I also wasn’t loving the first colorways. Now this, well played One Drop, well played. I’m all in!!!

So I can vouch that this thing is mad fun unresponsive. Im not at all used to such a slim unresponsive yoyo, so its a fun challenge to see what I can land on this. Probably turning it responsive again though, but im keeping it this way for a few days for sure :grin:

I was hoping for a “Deeper Than You Ever Thought Possible State” followed by the “Even Deeper Than That State” when it finally goes bimetal

FWIW, per email from ZipLine, the edITION Deepest States “should include a FLUFF single (string) with each yoyo”.

FLUFF is described as “fluffy • bouncy • cozy • 100% nylon”

But the email didn’t say when and or where the edITION will drop. :frowning:

Spent a good bit of time throwing my Deepest State this week and really loving it.

Initially wasn’t sure what to make of the response, the stock bearing needed a good hop to engage and I found the response pads very sensitive so it’d snag easily once I tried to wrap any extra string in the gap.

I put in the nytro string that came with it which was a great improvement and then I put the greasebucket in and that sent it into the stratosphere; for whatever it’s worth I reckon these could come stock with the greasebucket, but I appreciate that not everyone will have the same opinion so the stock bearing is open to tuning to preference.

Play is great, with the setup that I have it can handle any stalls I can do with ease, to me it responds like a d bearing but has all the benefit of a c bearing so can handle most of my string tricks. I would say that you need to be careful with the snappy response so need to be precise when playing especially once you wrap some extra laters of string in the gap.

I’m hoping that once the response pads are fully broken in it’ll be even nicer, I can just about split the atom with some care but 8 out of 10, times the string snags.

Overall it’s very steady on the string and can speed up play with ease, the only thing I’d say is maybe could be a touch lighter but not if that would be at the expense of the steadyness.

I know it’s been all but promised elsewhere in this thread that there’s a titanium version in the works (isn’t there !?) and I reckon this is a throw that could really benefit from being made in ti; a slight decrease the density would make it pretty much perfect given the snappy response

Overall 10/10, would but again/will buy again in titanium.

I think people want it in titanium so badly that they are collectively hallucinating a titanium Deepest State into existence.

Titanium deepest state is a human right.

Somebody call the United Nations! Oh no, think of the poor children who—deprived of titanium Deepest State—will turn into dangerous criminals out of sheer boredom! Only ONE PERSON… wait no… only ONE DROP can fix this crisis!

Mine has a few razor-thin red lines that I mistook them for scratches at first. I wonder how they do this anodisation.

There you go @da5id, you have a moral obligation to give us a titanium deepest state. I can see it now when it drops, it’ll be like in Bill and Ted when Wyld Stallyns unite the world through their music.

I feel like that reference alone is strong enough to manifest it into existence. :horse::guitar::sign_of_the_horns:t3:
