Well, I got a new pb today, 35.73. My f2l seems to finally be sinking in. Also, how much difference will a speed cube make, I am quite leery to purchase one despite everyone’s advice. I just don’t think it will make much of a difference.
Depends. I can get 20 sec on a Rubiks brand but am around 5 or 6 sec faster on any speedcube.
A speedcube will be night and day compared to a Rubiks

Think of it this way, I average about 10 seconds with my main. On a rubiks brand I’m not even sub 15. That’s 50% difference in time.
In your case that’s like dropping 10 seconds easy.

Got my Guhong and Shuang Reng (?) in the mail.
Great cubes. The Guhong feels like a slightly tighter and more controllable Zhanchi, and the SR feels… well, unlike any cube I’ve ever felt. Very fast and very quiet. Got it sitting in front of me on my desk right now.
Down to a shoddy 40sec or so average. Managed to get a few of the PLL’s in my head so far, still got tonnes to go though. My F2l needs so much work.
One day… sub 20 will be mine… one day. The idea that people can do it in 5 seconds is, quite franky, ridiculous.

Just got a new 3x3 pb… a slow 44.5s but it was a 7s improvement!
