In the interest of learning how many Copper Deep States there are (and maybe seeing some cool photos), I‘d like anyone who has a Copper Deep State to raise their hand. I’ll go first. ![]()
Lol…. Where’s your cool photo? ![]()
I’d love to own a copper deepstate.
You can see here ![]()
I’ve taken mine all over the world with me for the last six years. The patina and damage all just adds to the happy memories and good times I had along the way.
Aren’t you looking for alleycats? ![]()
You wouldn’t believe it, but an amazing person provided me with a copper deep state recently and I’m in love with it! ![]()

Copper/ Nickel!?
Yes!
Which half weighs more? Im curious.
The copper side is probably a fraction of a gram heavier. It probably wouldn’t even register on most scales.
Well I know copper is a tad heavier atomically, but there’s no guarantee that the same number of atoms adhered during the plating.
Scales go down to the hundredth or thousandth of a gram. Anyone want to weigh their halves for me? Id love to know their weights.
That’s a massive overgeneralisation which only applies to digital scales. The ones I have are barely accurate to 0.1g.
True. I wouldn’t mind knowing the weight down to a tenth of a gram either, however, if you get a moment.
Unfortunately don’t have a nickel one. I doubt either half would even be as much as 5mg heavier though. I’m pretty sure Cerakotes are thicker and would add more weight.
So far I count 2 Copper & 1 Six Cents Deep States. ![]()
The nickel and penny “6 cents” Deep State is one of the coolest yoyos I have ever seen, very nice!
Okay, fine, that’s it! Time for me to find a nickel Deep State to do a similar half-swap with. ![]()
I have one of the olive green ones that kind of teases looking like copper, I’d love a copper one.
