Consumerism: How do you respond?

Me too! That’s always been a big part of it. Definitely give more away than I break or wear out myself. I don’t feel the need to have every color (except for Elfversons, but not in a big hurry…) I feel I have enough variety in shapes, weight, sizes and materials to keep me going. Glad to know it isn’t just my Raiders that suck… I grew up with a blue Fireball, so I’ll throw that or my Saberwing every now and then. But those Yomegas really aren’t very user friendly. I’ve had some where I had to loop the string 5 times to get it to respond right!

I’m huge into utilitarianism. If the object I have would give more joy elsewhere than it soesn’t tax me much to try and trade it. I don’t really like selling or flipping or making profits, so I want these fun chunks of metal I consider almost like friends to be treated with the same level of play or love that the ones I do use get. If I can not provide something nice a good home I get antsy and want to get it to someone who would. I’ve given several throws away, going to be giving away a G2 to a closer friend here, and my partner will be recieving some nice stuff too!! Keep the equipment in play if you don’t use it or collect it!! Just my two cents.

Also I stopped overspending on yoyos as I have modt of what I’d already want. The rest would just be new acquaintences and friends, yknow? I already have the perfect yoyo for me, and several others. I’m fine if I find more or satisfied if I don’t. That’s just where I feel I am in the hobby now
