I’ve been running my KK bearing dry since I got it, and haven’t yet seen any negative effects. Is it okay to keep it like this? Or should I put some lube on it? What are the differences in performance, do lubed bearings spin longer?
Negative effects include:
Noisier Bearing
Bearing dying quicker
positive effects:
noisier bearing, (ucwhutaididthar?)
less responsive (in general)
Actually, a correctly lubed bearing is just as unresponsive as a dry bearing. Though lube creates response, but after breaking in, it’s perfectly fine.
OG! I have to agree with skeletons333. Excellent answer.
