Any type that spins for longer than 5 seconds when you flick it. That and preferably not a flat bearing as flats suck for comp.

Recently tried a NSK bearing and that thing is so nice.

They’re nice but by no means necessary. That being said, I also have an nsk installed on my favorite 1a yoyo so I can’t say I don’t love those things too. I haven’t needed to maintenance mine for over a year now

This is just the thread I needed, I’ve had three bearings seize up in the last couple days. reckon it’s something to do with dust in the air
