Haven’t run into that specifically yet but…
Up to a couple of weeks ago, using the youtube app on my TV I could connect as a guest and get a wide selection of videos, mostly related to past selections. I’m assuming they tracked the IP to show me things they thought I wanted to see. Now when I connect the same way I get a screen that says I need to log on to see suggestions. If I don’t log in I have to go to the search bar and look for specific things before anything shows up. I haven’t seen this yet when I use youtube on my web browser on my computer.
Yessir. Louis is fighting the good fight. It’s time for folks to wake up. Been screaming it from the internet rooftops for years but nobody listens until it’s too late.
Support the EFF, Internet Archive and like minded organizations and REFUSE to consent to ID checks online. Do NOT upload your ID or credit card to any website like YouTube, Reddit, facebook, etc. This age verification stuff is not to protect the children. These systems will be breached and personal info is going to be leaked. Just watch. It will happen! Please do not comply to this. Your human rights are at stake here. You have a right to privacy!
