The catchy air kendama doesn’t seem to be available for retail purchase anywhere in Canada. I noticed a few users had them for sale, yet the posts are locked now. I’m really looking to get my hands on one, if you’ve got one let’s talk.
@Xanadu, still have some of those?
I was just given access to d.m, I’ve now sent him one. The search through the internet led me to his now locked post, I’d never been on this forum before so it took awhile. Thanks for the help, fingers crossed he’s got some
I have one and I saw your DM @Ryleylong. Happy to help and will be in touch soon!
You’re a massive lifesaver. I await hearing from you, thanks so much man!
Oh dam I was just up in Seattle and there was a toy shop with a whole rack of these! Didn’t expect them to be hard to get in other countries.
That pains me lol. The only way is to wholesale them like xanadu did lol. Luckily he’s still got some for me.
If I come across more I should just buy a few and make a BST post for folks abroad. Although I’m sure shipping will cost more than the Kendama.
Ya but even the wholesale stuff with YYF Europe seems to have run out now.
@GnarlyCharlie, it’s cool that you still saw some in a shop in Seattle. They are lots of fun, I’m hoping they get an update in the future but I have a feeling that they didn’t sell as well as YYF had hoped 10 years back. What I like most about them is how durable they are. You can smash the spike over and over and over… with minimal damage. I’ve been using my main one for working on the mechanics of whirlwinds.
This is the spike after a year of play and hundreds of failed spikes:
It’s funny cause yyf has so many kendama in their b grade graveyard they never touch.
lol, can you please explain further Brandon? I’m intrigued.
Ohh I just mean every year previous yyf would live stream the a mayzing sale dog through the b grade shelves and have boxes onboard boxes of kendama catchy and wood that they would set aside every year.
They’re not done aging them.
I’m not sure how high the demand is considering their unavailability but they’re only becoming harder to get so honestly go for it if you wanna hold em for awhile
Agreed on the durability, that’s truly the only reason I’m looking to get one of these guys again. I’m just trying to get back into kendama after awhile and re-learning tricks from years ago can do a number on both the spike and the ball. I used my catchy air daily for years and I’m ashamed I ever lost it because it was just as well as yours there.
@Xanadu is the goat
@skysurveil, You still enjoying yours?
I got you dude! I’ll need to get an update on shipping costs, since it’s been a while since I’ve shipped one. Mind providing your address? Note: I’ve been using a third party shipper that is cheaper and faster than Canada Post.
lol, I meant to dm this, I was half asleep.
