Case help, please

I need better storage for my throws, but I’m not a huge fan of anything I see that’s currently available. Ideally I’d like something double sided that lays flat and holds a decent amount (looking at you, FD50). I don’t mind doing the internals/inserts myself, but am having a tough time finding a hard case that meets these criteria. Anybody know who manufactured the FD50 case or know where something similar is available? I see a bunch of cases that look identical in terms of general build, but none that are two-sided and lay flat…

I have 2 FD50s almost full. Love these cases. Hope they make another run of them.

Yeah I’ve tried nudging @arthurfoley for another run of fd50 cause I want another one too lol. I know logistics and storage on those is hard just due to size

Yep. My question was more if anyone knows where they sourced the shells they used for them, or knew of something similar (I can make my own foam inserts), as I really like the design. I’ve found similar shells online (look identical in terms of build), but they are all one sided with a lid that opens ~90° with varying depths.

@spyder-man I have 1 that I got from the BST that I use for my ODs and it’s also nearly full (I could use 2-3 more for everything else I currently have). Big fan of the design, especially how the case is able to lay completely flat. Last time I reached out to Freshly Dirty, they said they weren’t counting out another batch in the future, but currently had no plans for a run.

Fantastic news!
Now I just need to commit the funds to the cases instead of more yoyos :joy:

I like Milwaukee Packouts. They aren’t two sided though! But the are stackable you can pretend ha

I like the 2-sided design because it can hold a good number of yoyos without having to stack multiple layers (I have a case like this). I just like the ability to open the case and see the entire contents at a glance.

You’re idea is genius though since I have quite a few Milwaukee tools so these cases would make it easier to hide my yoyos from my wife (I’d have to get one of the ones with a non clear lid) :joy:

I use an old pistol case with fresh foam inserts i cut with a tomato paste can, holds 22 yoyos and also opens up flat

Awesome idea with the pack outs! It’s giving me some idears! I do have older cases for drills and such that are empty. Maybe I’ll convert some?

FD50 case is the modern hyper heavy spinner, the og must have case.

And one of my old pics popped up in google images lol

If you want something cheap and not too fussy, the Plano 3700 deep tackle box is great for a case

I don’t see an RBC here… Is that maybe because you play it so much it never makes it into the case? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

For another case was forged, one which could house even more treasured throws.

I also have two FOV cases and some shelves, and drawers so this still won’t be everything :joy:

I grabbed this first case from temu. Came with the foam ready to cut. About $20. The row of large cases came from Harbor Freight at about $30-$35 but they always have a sale. They come with foam and hold 24-48 throws if you glue the foam to the lid.
