Introducing the Canopy AL, the debut release from Atmos Projects’ new Canopy Collection! This throw beautifully blends performance with play, capturing the spirit of adventure and creativity that lies at the heart of yoyoing.

Inspired by Caribou Lodge’s Otter, Harrison Lee’s iconic signature model, and paired with the sleek design of the Atmos Polaris, the Canopy AL combines the best of both brands. With input from both Coleman and Harrison, this project has been a labor of passion and friendship, which began with discussions in Seattle, envisioning a yoyo that would speak to the roots of both brands’ designs and values.

The Canopy AL boasts a carefully balanced 54.9mm diameter and 46.0mm width, weighing in at around 65.3g, giving it a solid but nimble feel that’s built to last. Each design element is thoughtfully crafted, from the hub details inspired by Caribou Lodge to the sturdy rim profile of the Polaris. Constructed to offer the comfort and control of high-end adventure gear, this yoyo feels dependable, like a companion ready for any journey.

The Canopy Collection’s guiding philosophy, “Everyone’s Covered,” speaks to the community spirit that inspired this throw. Atmos Projects and Caribou Lodge have come together to create a yoyo that resonates with each player’s style, blending fun with functionality in a piece that feels truly special. Enjoy the journey with the Canopy AL!

Introducing the Canopy Ti! Designed with a slightly smaller diameter and heavier feel, it’s a fresh, nimble addition to the Canopy lineup. THE CANOPY TI IS TECHNICAL, FUN, AND FIT FOR ANY SEASON.

When Atmos x CLYW launched the Canopy, they knew its form would be a blend of Atmos Project’s Polaris and CLYW’s Otter. Early on, the team imagined experimenting with different materials, and titanium was at the top of that list. Developing the Canopy Ti meant more than just resizing—it required an entirely new approach to honor the Canopy’s signature feel in this unique material.

The Canopy Ti flows with agility and precision, balancing performance and playability with a clean, minimalist design. Atmos x CLYW is thrilled to share the Canopy Ti—a refined design meant to inspire play and bring versatility to your rotation.

For anyone sleeping on the Canopy AL, it’s probably the best monometal I’ve played all year.

Have you tried the Otter? Just curious in what way the Canopy differs in play.

Side note, but the store page says “atmos project” and the Ti page banner says Solaris

Anyone have thoughts on the Ti? Been eyeing for a while, debating whether or not to go for it.

Hi, I have 2 otters! I would say they’re both nice and stable, with the Canopy having a floatier feeling. Playing them both side by side, the otter feels kinda boring(even though it really suits my play style).

I have many Ti’s and Canopy is very high up on the list. If you like the Canopy AL id say you should absolutely cop the Ti. Its slightly undersized but not nearly undersized enough to be a negative thing. Very fantastic throw.

Is the response similar between the 2? I’ve noticed the Otter isn’t the most forgiving once you get a bunch of string wraps in the gap.

ive never had snag issues with the canopy, even though i spend most of my time playing denser, string-wrappier tricks.

i think that a big part of the issue with the otter is just the stock snow tires it comes with, and because that’s just not a thing with the canopy, it ends up being a lot more forgiving on that end

I appreciate the quick reply! Does the one gram weight difference affect anything for you? I’m not usually this particular but I do really dislike heavier throws. The AL surprised me and made me reconsider.

The Ti very much does not play heavy imo despite being mid-sized. I’d describe it as playing lighter than average with a bit of speed (it plays like a 64.5-65g yo-yo imo). Compared to a typical mono metal comp yo-yo I think it is a little lacking in power and stability but it’s still going to handle anything you want and will outperform most non-comp oriented yoyos. Hard to tell just by feel without the CAD of course but I think it makes good use of the benefits of ti.

It’s a very fun yo-yo overall imo. I really like mine.

@GnarlyCharlie in my experience the stock response can snag a bit when you have really dense wraps around the bearing but during most semi-dense/typical tech there’s no issue. I’d also always say with response that if the stock pads aren’t to your preference then it’s very easy to swap to a grippier/looser pad or silicone it yourself (the canopy has 19mm standard Atmos pads, rather than the 21mm snow tires that other CLYWs have fyi).

Agree with Lex for sure. Ti canopy certainly does not play heavy. I wouldn’t say it feels lighter than the AL on the string ( cuz that Al is floaatty), however it does seem to use that extra weight to flow better if that makes sense. And in comparison I do believe you get that overall added performance compared to AL, which isn’t usually a guarantee on ti drops. They really came through on this one. A very very good ti design.
