I just got a Speedaholic for Christmas and notice that if I tug hard enough it will return to my hand. I was under the impression that it was not supposed to return unless you did a bind.
Has anyone else had the same issue with a Speedaholic? I have added thin lube and it is still doing the same thing. Of course I have only had it for a day now so maybe I just need to break it in. I am just wondering if this is a normal thing?
clean the bearing, lube will give you the opposite effect you desire.
Really? then why does everyone recommend to get lube?
play for 3 days then your problem will be fixed even some CLYW come a little responsive and just need to be broken in. IT’s a totally normal thing.
Ok I will, but now I have another question. Will thin lube make an unresponsive yoyo more unresponsive or more responsive?
If its more responsive, why would anyone who wants an unresponsive yoyo use lube at all?
Nobody does.
Basically if you have to ask about lube don’t use lube because you’ll use too much lube and then post on internet about yer broken knuckles.
Actually the Yoyo Buyers guides from billybobs suggest buying lube, and I have seen it many other places as well.
So I have seen many recommendations to get lube…
Lube is really more of a maintenance tool for bearings - With regular use it can help extend the lifespan of a bearing but will not necessarily improve performance.
Check the modification & maintenance section on the forum and watch some of the videos in the maintenance section on our “Learn” page. You’ll find plenty of helpful tips on lube and bearing maintenance.
Ah ok, so it sounds like I should clean the bearing then, thanks for the advice guys!
Lube makes the bearing quieter and last longer. However it does add a little more response and shortens the spin time a tad until you break it in.
If u do use lube use less then a drop of lube. Dip a pin in the bottle of lube and rub the pin around the balls in the bearing
I’m having same problems, I changed to different bearing and same thing happen. i find replay pro X10 better than speedaholic.
I don’t know about all this blither blabber bs fn a hs but, you need to work it in. The Speedaholic is one of the best throws you can get in that price ranges.
