true that is a good chunk of plastic. very intereting
Also the stock axle is like 7.12 grams and the druid guts only weigh 5.37 grams
welp being sick i havenāt had much energy to throw, so instead i decided to attempt my first butterfly cap swap. @Raindog3030
meant to ask, i destroyed the glowfly in the process because the axel was stuck in one half and i pretty much tore up the axel with pliers, so i just got impatient and smacked it with a rubber mallet to break it. i was getting a new glowfly soon anyway so i didnāt care, but in the future, itās there a method for getting it unstuck without rubber mallets getting involved?
It is unusual for one half to be so tight. Iām usually able to extract an axle fairly painlessly with a vice grip.
I usually just grab the axle with groove lock pliers then wriggle the plastic half back and forth very slightly until it rocks itself out. Slow and steady is key.
I wrapped the axle with cardboard/craft paper to protect it, then applied vice grips sidewaysā¦ then more parachord
Looks great, hope you get well soon!
Get better dude! Thereās some nasty stuff going around. Iāve been munching vitamin c, zinc, and elderberry gummies. Itās working wonders for my immune system. Highly recommend!
RIP little Glowfly
