Best off String Yoyo

My 8 year old son is getting into 4A and we are looking for a good off string yoyo that is not too expensive but plays well, balanced and wide enough to catch and can withstand all the drops I see coming. Oh and he wants a finger spin cup so he can do off string DNA.
please free free to give me some tips. I am looking at YOYOEMPIRE Lunar lord $35 ( can’t find reviews on it ) Spire Yoyo ($35 ) AIRWAVE ($35) Zeekio Gemini ($30) MAGICYOYO T1 Captain ( $30) and the more expensive choices like UNLiMiTED ( $60) There is the No Scope for $75 do they play that much better? especially for a beginner? ( he already know some 1A tricks )

they got $20 dollar yoyofactory offstring yoyos on yoyoexpert. id go with 1 or 2 of those

Lunar lord or spire if you want cheaper but good, unlimited for the more expensive one. the other options listed are ■■■, YYF Sky dancer is pretty good too albeit a lil sharp (which is more of a problem for beginner).

I do like almost all of my indoor throwing on a lunar lord, its really good and i love the H, check out the offstring thread on here ive literally posted only one non lunar lord trick (except the mighty flea offstring lol), i’d really recommend it for a beginner.

And as always, anything but a flight :smiley:

Thanks. I don’t see Lunar Lord in any yoyoexpert.com site or the US site. Only in a China ecom site.
and Off String Mighty Flea? I’ve got to see that video.

The IYOYO Unlimited is my favorite. It is kinda expensive but i think its worth the price.

yea ive just recenetly got a pair and seem great so far. a little scared to throw them over the concrete i throw over for now (working on padding the area) so my lunar lords remain my indoor throws FOR NOW

yea got my pair on ali, but they’re literally like 30 usd each LOL pads might need a change its give and go with the accessories

I think I’ll get the Spire from a US yoyo site. Looks like its better for a nub to learn the bind and not break so easily.

Also do we need special string for off string yoyo?

nar i just use sochi fat or kitty fat
