Bearing seat damage

I feel like im worried about the gunk in the seat than the other part

I was just looking at yoyoexpert and noticed many of the yoyos have the same kind of damage on the bearing seat.

Im fairly certain the folks at yoyoexpert are careful when unscrewing their yoyos but this is just what happens to modern bering seats beacuse of their size. I dont feel this is user error if anyone is wondering. I think this renders the majority of yoyos used and no longer perfectly mint. Wear and tear is intrinsic with using yoyos and maintaining them.

Its kind of a catch 22 because of someone sells you a “mint” yoyo you’ll never truly know if the seat is damaged unless you take the bearing off… which in that case you’d be damaging the seat. I guess you can never really know lol

personally in my permanent collection I just take emory paper to all the bearing posts that aren’t releasing bearings easily (no tool required)
