Also, with ceramic bearings, there’s people saying to clean, or not to clean… and ceramic is supposed to, spin longer as a result of less friction, and as an extension of that, also last longer than the average bearing. Not even sure if all those claims are true, and the extra spin time probably isn’t that much better.

P.S. I personally wouldn’t get any of those bearings. I prefer to use the 10 ball… which isn’t mentioned here at all. 10 balls are a lot smoother to me, quieter, and also have a longer spin time. HOWEVER, normal bearings should serve you fine, and you probably shouldn’t need to buy new ones. I probably wouldn’t, but all my YYJ bearings died on me… they’ve rusted, gone clunky, and barely spin. All other bearings I have do not do this however.

10 ball? is that the one drop thing?
whats the size for it? where can i get one?

Yes, it’s the Onedrop bearing. The size is C (standard). You can get one here:

Fixeded…

Oh, from what I know, Ceramic bearings are built to last long. They’re like long term investments. Buy one expensive one, and it lasts like, very long.

With proper care and feeding all bearings will last a long time.

How long is long? I was thinking along the lines of a few decades…

I have a yoyo from 1998 and the same bearing works fine right now. It is just a cheap steel bearing.
