my phoenix bearing is on and off responsive i tried cleaning but wont work any tips could it do with the bearing being open

Sorry, I don’t quite understand what you’re saying here.
Did you remove the shields, soak it, flush it, dry it or blow it out?
What did you use to clean it?
sheilds are already off (came that way) i took out the bearing soaked it in gas then dried it, dident work put in thin lube didint work the bearing is locked up it seems and it barely spins
Maybe you put too much lube in there.
Clean it in mineral spirits or lighter fluid and then thoroughly dry it out using one of those “duster” compressed air cans.(as well as a paper towel). Then run the bearing dry for a bit and see what’s going on. You can always use a tiny bit of lube later(say, half a drop or less since it’s not shielded).
A question about the bearing and the yoyo:
Was this bought via BST? It could be the seller/trader threw a crappy bearing in there. I’ve had a few sellers do that, but some where honest about it. For example, Jayyo sold me a MMN and he was straight up saying he put a YYF bearing in there, although in this case, the YYF bearing was well broken in and was playing fantastic. If you bought new, well, I’d be surprised that someone would ship a bearing de-shielded, but hey, I’m still learning.
Then again, it may be time to consider buying a replacement bearing.
this is new from the sight i put acouple drops in it. its just completly jammed i spin with my finger it wont i have to twist my hand
