The BANDALO:RE draws its name from the earliest roots of yo-yo history. Long before the term “yo-yo” was popularized, the word bandalore was used in Europe between the 17th and 19th centuries to describe a simple spinning toy—two wooden discs connected by an axle with a string wound around it. This early design would eventually evolve into the modern yo-yo we know today.
Inspired by this history, BANDALORE set out to create a yo-yo that bridges the past and present. Their vision was to merge the classic feel of old-world design with the performance of modern innovation. Drawing influence from their favorite modern throw—the SF YoYos DK—they crafted a design that captures both tradition and evolution in one.
The name BANDALO:RE honors that legacy, while the “:re” stands for remake, redo, refresh—a nod to both the rebirth of a historical toy and the fresh creativity it inspires in the hands of today’s players.
The BANDALO:RE is a yo-yo built on history, shaped by modern design, and ready to spark a new wave of inspiration.
