I was wondering if you could stain a bamboo kendama and what effects it might have on it.

I would imagine it would be fine. There usually isn’t a finish on kens, so it should work.
Pics? How’s the surface feel? I’d be hesitant to try it personally without something similar to test on.

Slow day at work and saw some on the internet in different wood that looked nice and it got me wondering.
Most bamboo products I’ve seen seem pretty engineered and dense, but maybe they’d take stain ok. There seem to be a lot of links about staining bamboo floors and furniture when you search. I’d like to try it now.
