Axel stuck in yoyo

I got my Axel stuck in my yoyo. How can I get it out without breaking it?

Wrap it in a washcloth and put the side in the freezer for 20 minutes. It works. Please notify us if you have success.

I was doing 3a, and then I got a knot, and when I unscrewed it the Axel got in this position somehow.

Thankfully, only part of the Axel was messed up, but I got it screwed back together. When that happened, I almost started crying because my favorite yoyo almost broke.
