This poll shows that there is enough interest to justify small runs of local made yoyos.
I visited and spoke to a local machinist today and he is interested in machining some yoyos for me. I’ll look into getting the ball rolling over the next few months.
Just to add a little more info: I plan on personally blasting and siliconing them myself. It would hardly be a Spinworthy yoyo without a personal touch.
Australia needs its own yo-yo : all for supporting local manufacturing rather than imports from Asia and America
Australia had Werrd, which I was always a fan of. Not sure where they were all machined though. Mostly just glad to see more shops aside from OD and FPM doing the machining. Also awesome to see Australia has someone hand turning stuff too. Too bad Landon Balk seems to be out of the game otherwise him and Glen would have a lot of knowledge to share with each other.
It was the first two yoyo they released that were made in Australia. The rest were made elsewhere.
