As our brand name implies, our “Lab” is a place of daily experimentation. Every year, we dig through our archives to release the prototypes born during the development process, coating samples from new finish tests, and B-grades that perform perfectly but have minor cosmetic flaws—all at special prices.
These are not just products; they are the archives of our trial and error in pursuit of the ideal throw.
Here is the main lineup for this drop:
Zero Prototype Series
Extremely rare prototypes born during the development of the Zero series. Only about 2 to 5 units of each exist. We want those who love the Zero series to add these evolutionary steps to their collection.
There are two types of prototypes for the ZERO 57mm:
- 1st Prototype: Features a round shape close to the original YWET. The weight distribution is pushed towards the outer rim, characterized by a strong spin.
- 2nd Prototype: Features a round shape closer to the One Drop version of the YWET.
I Series Prototypes
Prototypes from the “I series” development process. These are also very rare (approx. 4 units each) and are perfect for those who love the Anti-yo BSP or flat rim feeling. Compared to the retail version, the weight distribution is pushed further to the rim to emphasize a powerful, flat-rim play feel.
- TITANIUM Model: The biggest feature is the “All Raw” finish, which does not exist in the retail production run.
Snow Coating Prototype Samples
Among At Design Lab’s unique finishes, the “Snow Coating” has a particularly dedicated fanbase due to its beauty. While production was paused for a long time due to manufacturing constraints, we have been conducting test runs with multiple domestic factories aiming for a revival in 2025. These are coating samples born from that process. Includes weight variations and multi-material experimental models. Most are one-offs. Please enjoy the traces of our trial and error towards the revival.
BRICC Coating and Color Samples
Behind the scenes of the A-rt collaboration that made waves in 2025, we were concurrently testing BRICC color combinations and various coatings. Ahead of the official release, we are releasing these samples born from our development trials. Almost all of these are one-offs.
