Anime:
Full Metal Alchemist
Full Metal Panic (no relation whatsoever to Full Metal Alchemist)
Neon Genesis: Evangelion
Nodame Cantabile (there’s a live action version as well but I prefer the anime)
Hellsing
If you want to be afraid of spirals for life read “Uzumaki”.
My all time favorite manga of all time is Bremen. Its unavailable in english, so you have to read the scanlations online. I reccomend it to everyone. You will not be dissapointed. Please please please please read it.
dear lord the first 7 volumes of YUGIOH is awesome. It has nothing to do with the cards, this making it for all audiences. Still one of my favorites, as is Hikaru No Go. I to this day don’t understand Go xD

My Japanese friend made watch Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I’ve never watched any other magical girl anime but I doubt many of them are like this one… It’s pretty dark and some parts creeped me out but I enjoyed it. Definitely worth a watch - it’s not that long anyway.
Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, and FLCL are all great. Fullmetal Alchemist is pretty good, but if you watch it, be aware there are two different series: Fullmetal Alchemist, and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Both start off with more-or-less the same story, but they diverge significantly partway through. FMA created an original storyline when it caught up with the manga it was based on, and Brotherhood follows the manga to the end. Both are pretty good, and different enough to watch both if you enjoy one.
Of stuff not already mentioned:
Rurouni Kenshin
.hack//SIGN
Durarara!!
Ghost in the Shell
The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi (though it’s not at all action-oriented like a lot of what you have watched; if you do try it, you might want to look up “Endless Eight” when you get to that part to see what it is, because you might want to skip those episodes)
I think Bleach manga is considerably better than the anime, especially after the Soul Society arc (where the Bount arc starts in the anime). Soul Eater also has a pretty good manga, from which the anime diverges about halfway through, so it might be worth reading in addition to watching.
Manga/Comics:
Darkhorse’s Aliens Series…they were all awesome comics.
Zatch Bell
Trigun
Lupan III
Hellsing
S-cry-ed
Cyborg 009 (both anime and manga are legit)
Dragon Drive
Megaman NT Warrior
Megaman MegaMix
Megaman Gigamix
