AI summarization button

noticed that we can now AI summarize our topics..

it’s criminal that on a discussion-based forum we put a button there to discourage people from reading the discussion

is there a way to opt out of this? I’d rather not have my posts misrepresented by an AI

I tested on a few posts and the results are already misleading

(quoting text that never appeared anywhere in the post)

(making things up, nowhere in the post did I mention the specs being remotely similar)

(the message was not garbled)

(the message was ..not scrambled)

can’t really fathom a world in which this button is constructive to this forum’s experience in any way, shape, or form.

personally I would rather the forum admins just ..read the forum (this sounds accusatory but we’re talking in a general sense here, none of my complaints are specific to YYE, I’d be rallying against this on any forum)

Yeah - that got auto activated. I turned it off.

I have really hated Meta’s auto AI summarization so much - drives me nuts.
