I just got a question… I have a 10 ball with no shields, and it seems louder than my other 10ball with shields installed. Are shields swappable? Could I take shields from any other C bearing and put it into the 10 ball? I know that some bearings have very slight differences, so I thought I’d post it here
Yes, they can be swapped in and out.
not always, I have some bearing shields that cannot be swapped.
10-balls have different diameter balls in them than standard C bearings. From my experience, the shields are not interchangeable - you must use 10-ball shields in 10-ball bearings. Kinda sucks because I’d like to slap some shields on my 10-ball as well. :-\
