My century, that is!
After approximately eight weeks of assiduous practise I threw 104 consecutive inside loops using my own imperial-shaped oak yoyo and eight-strand cotton string.
It’s been a long, hard journey but I was determined and practise paid off. I read here that once you can do 10, it’s an easy step to 20 and from there to 100 or more, and that’s pretty much how it worked out but boy, getting to that 10…!
So to anyone still chasing their century of loops (or even 10), stick with it. The more you practise, the more you feel and understand what the yoyo should do as it swings around your hand and is flicked back out again.
Two other useful tips from previous posts that helped me: aim low and only accept ‘good’ loops, ragged loops that aren’t graceful teach you nothing about the process.
