I did practice but I didn’t film anything. Boring practice of my prelim routine.

Just a little Coro to bump the thread! I’ve been hitting the Coro mount pretty often which is goooood. Most common problem now is I kerplunk down w too much ooomph and have to wait for the yo-yos to like settle before I can do the Coro. It doesn’t always happen like that and I get what I need to do to have it land gently so it’s just practice at this point I think. Gotta focus more on 1a rn tbh bc imma do the ante comp thing and gotta get my 1 minute looking smooth and fantastic.

Yess!!! The next issue to figure out is how to give the yoyos more space during the coro. Mine always clank together after a couple rolls.

This is just the speed of the hand height switching correct? Sometimes I can get it okay but I still haven’t locked inthe feel yet

Oh is it the speed? I feel i go kinda slow now that i think about it. Or rather, i try and be gentle with it lol

I dunno lol! I meant like an even speed between hands either fast or slow

There’s not really a set pace since you can do really fast reps and relatively slow reps.

How far apart your hands are vertically determines how close the yo-yos are to each other. The further your hands are apart (one hand really high, one really low), the further apart the yo-yos will be. The closer your hands are together, the closer the yo-yos will be together, and if they’re too close, they’ll collide.

I think a bad habit ppl have that causes their yo-yos to collide after a few reps or even one rep is they finish a rep with their hands too close together, or they’ll slowly get closer and closer with each rep. Doing a rep way too slowly can also be a problem because the yo-yos will slide together before the rep can start but I think this is less common

You can just sit in coro mount and mess with the spacing of your hands to see how it affects the distance between the yo-yos to help you better understand the spacing you need

Okay cool I think I get this like I meant one hard was moving slower than the other was leading to them being closer and closer but distance is a much better metric hah

Sick!!

I got half a rotation of coro coro before they turned into a big tangled mess today! Any specific tips for double trapeze? I think I’m just psyching my self out a little I kinda get nervous when they’re arcing upwards for it.

It took me a long time to get 3a trapeze consistent, it’s by far the hardest basic mount imo. Some people find it easier to do it from plastic whip so maybe you could try that. Some people also find it helpful to think of the landing as a chopping motion when learning. Personally though, 3a trapeze was just a trick that I found needed a bunch of repetition to get better tbh.

Idk what else you’ve learned but I recommend focusing on the basics of kink mount (umbrella), blue line mount (blue line rolls, barrel rolls), and velvet mount (velvet rolls) first and just throw in a few reps of 3a trapeze on the side each sesh since I think those 3 mounts are much easier to learn and get into then 3a trapeze.

That’s how I think about it

I made reverse vanish tutorial in Chinese. Does anyone need an English version?

A longer 3A combo

Man that is awesome brother!

Been just grinding throwing directly into coro coro and I actually landed one (1) good coro coro today. Like into the mount, rotate left, rotate right, dismount, 2 successful gunslinger binds. All the others were half-rotations or big tangles. It’s feeling better and I had a couple near-successes on the double trapeze as well. Got them onto each other’s strings, or just one trapeze and the other missed. I’m having fun!

Sick combo!
