In no particular order:
JT Fergus: Agree with basically everything mable said about it, Fergus feels really good and I am probably going to get a second one at some point.
Crucial Maple: Already got 2 of them! I like it with caps off, and with caps on! Itās a real banger unresponsive. Plays very light and powerful with caps off. One of mineās vibey out of the box but like, itās wood, lol
Spinworthy Flying Lemon: Itās sick. A tiny yoyo with the soul of a big yoyo. Praying for a second run like everyone else.
I loved pretty much every yoyo I got this year too, but these were the first ones I thought of.

The freshly dirty untitled 74 had been a go to a fair bit of this year
The rio is the best light up yoyo Iāve played so far
the poly berry has been my favorite plastic this year
Metal capsul has been the most unique and interesting yoyo of the year
The asterisk held my attention for a long while
The plasm was my favorite responsive till the deepest state dropped then itās been my go to the rest of this year,
Not sure if it counts but the queen bee has been very fun
I love the flying lemon. Iāll need to replace the one that was lost at some pointā¦

OD deepest state
Ive realized Iāve been playing more older releases this year than new releases. JB chunk, Wilderness 7075 and '23 miracle were probably my most played yoyos of the year, and the speedaholic xx has been my commute unresponsive (might get replaced by pc dunk or wilderness pc) Ive picked up some great new yoyos this year, but my favorites of those are re-issues

Rainier was released last year.
edITION was my favourite release this year. The stock Deepest State is really good; but edITIONās stock greasebucket, FLUFF, beautiful sight lines, and half-n-half colour scheme make it completely sublime.

That would depend on your preferences as theyāre quite different yo-yos.
The Enigmatica has a more relaxed pacing and doesnāt want to go fast. It feels medium weighted in play but the weight feels rather dispersed due to the larger size. It has a 5mm advantage in width so itāll be better for zoning but Iād still describe it as a tech focused yo-yo which has great stability and power and itās amazing for rejections. I donāt think itās particularly suited to speed combos. The thin outer edges do make it a bit sharp if it hits your knuckles. Itās very good value and the recent splashes look great in person.
The Copper is also great for rejections and is a very good tech yo-yo, though it is plenty capable for zoning/zontals similar to the Enigmatica (while itās only 45mm, basically all of that is usable catch zone). It feels much more solid and compact in play, leading to improved manoeuvrability/change of direction and a bit zippier pacing. Itās similarly very stable and powerful. Itās also the first Empathy Iāve used that has nice rounded rims so it wonāt be too bad (relatively) if it hits your knuckles. The copper rings will oxidize over the time though of course so be aware, and it is rather expensive, so itās not as good value as the Enigmatica.
Both Iād describe as tech focused but in quite different ways that fit their players (Enigmatica for bigger, flowier slacks while lots of small movement/changes of direction for the Copper). The Copper has really grown on me over time while the Enigmatica was an instant favourite when I first tried one at worlds. Hopefully those descriptions are helpful.

Flying Lemon is number one, just a blast to play and hold, that little bearing is magic.
Deepest State is Second, extremely durable and reliable responsive, and mine feels a little extra special because of how I received it.
Plasm would be number 3, itās just so freaking good and comfortable, just a fantastic YoYo. Best responsive plastic ever imo, just doesnāt feel quite durable enough to keep in my pocket 24/7, but has worn in so nicely from the times I do carry it and play it a bunch.
CLYW Leaf gets an honorable mention. Itās not my favorite throw right now, I think I need to tinker with the response, but it certainly has its own presence. I thought of selling or trading it off but Iād be kicking myself.
Iām not sure what other 2025 releases I own, I mostly buy second hand, so I will keep it at that.

Edition Forma!!! Itās fantastic, definitely top tier mono imo, go get you one!
