As the year is coming to an end, what was everyone must have releases for 2025?

I think since getting it, the Skill Addicts Banger has been my most played yo-yo. It’s so good, amazing for rejections, really manoeuvrable, the perfect mid-size diameter while still being powerful and with plenty of width. So that’d be my top yo-yo of 2025.

stardust quintessence - simple and powerful, if you like the sleipnir but wish it was heavier
dis obscura - plenty of power, great shape, looks great
onedrop boosted rainier - onedrop’s best performing side effect yoyo ever
spinworthy flying lemon - easily the most unique playing yoyo I’ve tried this year that wasn’t a total gimmick
mk1 asterisk - reminds me of the northstar/protostar but better in every way
empathy bubble - dear god this thing is so fun, highly recommended
spingear gaza fury - imagine a POM lyn fury with an SPR kit allowing you to pick between D and C bearings, lots of fun! (p.s. the name is because the design was from a user named “gazamune”, nothing political)
edition forma - good, fun, and cheap. what’s not to love

Honestly, this is my entire list as well, it also just so happens to fit the way I would have categorized, namely Responsive and Unresponsive

I will add, as a personal note, due to lack of free time with increased job responsibilities, I’m really only able to throw when I’m out walking my doggos (real doggos, not the yoyo trick) and since I really only have one hand available at any given time, looping/responsive is where I’m currently mainlining tricks, thus I’ve been throwing mostly the Plasm. And whenever I feel a bout of unresponsive wash over me in my Copious Free Time™, the SWFL is almost always my pick since its release, despite other unresponsives being within the same reach

My favorite releases this year
C3yoyodesign Speedaholic xx 2025 version. This year had quite a few good plastic yoyo’s but this one I liked most. It’s good at all kinds of grinds which is kinda unique. And it’s fun to use, performs well and is not all that expensive.
Yoyofactory Starlight. Wide but still agile and easy to use. Doesnt feel sluggish and is comfortable to catch which is pretty unique for yoyo’s this wide

Japan Technology Fergus is my easy choice.
Not too much to pick from in the ~70mm diameter realm, and so many big yoyos I think are just too light to really make the most out of their dimensions. Fergus just nailed what I was looking for in a yoyo like this. An amount of power that actually feels fitting for the dimensions.
En Sagiri gets an honorable runner up mention. I wanted a little bit more power and a bit of a less cumbersome size on the Ghost IX. The Sagiri scales the dimensions back just enough, and the plastic shell is great for reducing noise of impacts.
I think Oasis was an early 2024 release
