So I did some strings. Holy fatness! I’ll make the 20 of these just for lols. However, I’ll also have to make up some “normal” ones.
Having the rig both helps and hinders. I’m still learning this thing. I think s hooks are the answers to my issues.

S hooks are totally the answer, i mean… i don’t use them, but if you think about it, it seems much easier.

Just switched to fishing swivel for after fold and it seems too the trick and saves time it seems I’d suggest give it a try if you have not yet

It was not like riding a bicycle, says a pile of wonky thread on the floor. 1st strings I’ve made in years. But I had the Signature Pixelles in Moss Green and it matched a yoyo so twisty twisty. Whips like I remembered, fassst.

Oh, I had a mountain of busted or not good nuff, back in tha day. Just thought I might have retained more of that knowledge. 
I tested hundreds of variations of hand made strings just cauz I wanted to learn. Lot of good it did me was my point. 
But this one matched a throw, so I’ve got that going for me. Which is nice.
