My timeline was setback. I had a personal issue throw me off at the start of the month. I’m back on track now (fingers crossed) and should have my products out this weekend. It’s all done, just need to organize and post it.

In other news, G Strings! More G Strings than I’ve EVER seen in one place and I used to work at a strip club. No lie.
Also, our friend @gsimian has created a special blend for us, folks! He claims that it will walk on water, take stains out of your teeth, increase your credit score by 100 points, and walk your dog for you.
Ok. He didn’t say that, but he DID say that you’ll enjoy it.
I’m really amazed by all this. I didn’t think it would be a huge thing where “the big dogs” would create strings just for us. It’s an honor! This is going to be really fun, folks.

Also, I’d like to say something pretty serious for a second. I’d like to thank you all for having high standards of quality. I haven’t received anything less than completely usable, good looking, well executed strings. No frays. No “ugh” moments. Really well done to you all!!! I’ve been putting strings on those little embroidery floss cards and to be honest, every single one looks professional. From Markmont to G-Strings and Avvatar to all of you.
By the way, those little embroidery cards are a great way to handle individual threads or experiments. On a larger scale, the usual “skein twist” is the hot joint. If I bought, say five or ten Kitty Fat Strings, I’d wrap them around an index card a la Markmont. Just my observations from spring fling thus far.
Also, I just utilized the BST for a GRIP of throws. Organics (am I using that correctly for “plastic” yoyos?) are my new jam. I seriously love these things. Totally reawakened my desire to advance. I’m trying double or nothing, trapeze/brother, and Eli hops. Not SUCCESSFULLY, but still! Woot.

I finally sent in my strings in yesterday! Making strings at college comes with its challenges, and with words like “quality” and “professional” being tossed around, I’d like to officially nominate myself for “lowest tier setup for String Fling 2020” featuring…
- A 1:5 hand crank since power tools aren’t allowed in my dorm
- An S-hook squashed between the top and lower bunk and a bent nail hanging from my roommate’s closet to wrap the string around
- A tripod held in place with the ladder so I can double over the string around the tripod’s handle after twisting
All things considered, I’m actually pretty happy with the results, and I’m looking forward to all your suggestions

Ok, folks. I have received about half of the strings so far. I’m getting ready and prepping ALL THIS STUFF!!! You guys are going to love this. So much string. So many goodies.
Also, I’d like to thank you all for making 20 strings so that we can have extras. The plans for extras are fun random contests and giveaways for those who didn’t participate. It will get you fine makers and String Fling a bit of attention. Woot. This is SO MUCH FUN!!!
Do me a favor, y’all. IF I haven’t received your strings send me a message stating that you’re still in. I don’t need an ETA or an item action sheet. I just want to make sure that I haven’t lost anyone. If I have, that’s ok, too! Just gotta get my ducks in a row. quack quack…

I’m in. Didn’t think I would have time and wanted to really ‘put out’ if I was going in, but I changed my mind. There won’t be near the testing or recipe fine tuning I would normally ask of myself but I can get decent from my old notes. Call them decent strings, might be slightly better than OK, or slightly worse than OK, but definitely… Decent.

I love it! Mine are probably not even… decent. I have a set that I’m calling ridicufat. But I think i have 4(?) of those. My back has been killing me, but excuses are like… armpits…
