people have but its just aqua with a standard silver stainless steel rim.
the video just makes it appear goldish/bronze color.
So a few things to note now that I’m home and strung up my new throws (that I’ve never tried yet):
Some were saying the new SuperStar felt like a tank. Honestly, it feels zippy fast and nimble, and very stable. Much like a Space Cowboy in terms of stability but the nimble-ness of a Nightmare. Definitely a winner and a nice happy medium between Nightmare and Space Cowboy (And a better axle than the Nightmare which I still question…why did they make the seat and axle so short on the Nightmare?).
Dogma '16 - It’s definitely different. Similar but feels improved. There’s a little more center weight which picks up the speed a bit. Still a “chill/laid back” throw with a few tweaks.
And for the throws I already do own, I mixed the halves up on my purple and blue Dream. One plays great (Crucial bearing I put in), and one vibes (stock YYF bearing). These dreams don’t seem to like stock CTX bearings so I’ll probably switch it out.
Since I already own an identical (same colorway) Too H.O.T. I decided ti surprise my brother and gave him my extra one. He was excited since I knew he loved mine when I first got mine over the summer.
Now the big question: is the Superstar’s body 7075 or 6061?! Hahaha
Feels like 6061. 7075 has this certain silky sheen to it.
Do you have a space cowboy you could compare it to? I would love to see a side by side picture.

The superstar is a great player. It’s ridiculously smooth. So much so that I sometimes have trouble telling if it’s about to spin out or not. It plays very light and fast, zipping across the string all day.
I’ve found that with both my Nightmare and Superstar, feels like nothing is happening or that it’s dying out…only to find that when I go to bind, it snaps right back into my hand with lots of power begging to be used.
Got my A but not the X yet… Maybe the Ti Dream one?
Nobody got the Ti Dream yet!! Yes!! There is still hope that it comes to Peru ;D ;D

Heehee… I should probably be sleeping right now but putting down that superstar is proving to be a daunting task…
Uh, just so you know… Steel doesn’t expand when cooled. It contracts, and so does aluminum. The reason the trick works for the bearing is that the aluminum in the seat will contract more quickly/significantly than the steel inner race of the bearing.
And if companies do cool anything down when assembling bimetals, it depends on whether it’s inner or outer weight rings. Inner, you’re correct, they’d cool the steel rings down. But outer rings like the Superstar has, they’d cool the aluminum bodies down. But I’m guessing they don’t cool anything, and just use a hydraulic press with some jigs shaped to the yoyo; the level of press fit needed isn’t that extreme where cooling would be needed, at least not with 6061 and steel.
