That’s a curious thing… For me, I wouldn’t shop at their store.
Not because they are using the forum to Showcase/advertise, but only because shopping at YYE is easy, they are real professionals on what they do.
If I were Jeduardo, I’ll try to put my products at YYE, even If the final price had to increase due YYE comissions. I would pay this extra to have my product shipped properly and without worries.
Yes, I do advertise the new products as that’s the intention of this section of the forum and at the same time I am really trying to have the basilisk available at YYE but haven’t heard back from them.

No different from what you do. Looks like your Knack (out of stock) is on YYE but pretty regularly you have that and various other throws available on the forum, but not via the YYE store. I understand that you sell one or two at a time, but that adds up to the neighborhood of, say, a run of 80 throws every couple of months… Not sure you are the best one to be calling Jeduardo out here, bud.

One is an active member of the community that participates in discussions, and has sold runs of his handmade yoyos through YYE. The other only comes to this forum to promote his factory-made yoyos, that have never been sold through YYE.
Most manufacturers seem to follow an unwritten rule about not actively promoting yoyos on this forum that won’t be sold on YYE. Other users talk about those yoyos, but OD, YYF, MK1, etc. don’t use this forum to advertise the models they don’t sell here.
If I made metal yoyos and could just queue them up to be produced and send them into YYE then I would sell them there first and foremostly. That’s not how my yoyos are made.
I need time to sink my teeth into a run and it’s the same old story; I try my best and life happens. Maybe I should just start creating CAD designs and send them into Chinese machine shops.
Making yoyos at home costs and I don’t have disposable income. That’s why I sell things on the BST which @YoYoExpertGarrett has said to me before he has no problem with it.
I said before in another thread that my BST selling will slow down dramatically now that a local yoyo store reached out to me and will take micro runs (like 5 yoyos at a time).
Besides all that, I have had a YYE release before like you said. He does not.

Courtesy is unwritten by definition, otherwise it’s just following the rules. And if I’m being “forum police,” then what would you call what you’re doing?
Just a concerned citizen. With no regard for BS unwritten rules. Glen could easily keep his mouth shut instead of instigating. And you could have not jumped to the defense of someone who we all very know has no problem defensing himself, even when in the dead wrong.

This dude is using the forum for the EXACT reason it exists. He’s clearly promoting new products that aren’t currently being sold on YoYoExpert.

You’re absolutely right, I’m sorry everybody. I thought he had a wide range of yoyos but I just looked him up and found that this is just his 4th release. I’m the one mistaken here, sorry again.

Just a quick reminder of the rule:
Glad all this got sorted out. For smaller operations like me or Zero Gravity, posting stuff around helps a lot and this forum is the biggest place to get news out. I totally understand that they don’t want people posting links to other yoyo stores, but I also appreciate that they know not everyone can sell through YYE and they don’t just ban everyone from talking about stuff that isn’t offered on the store.
Also, I’m super pumped about the Basilisk! Looks like it’s gonna be amazing. Thanks for asking me to make the strings for it!
