This is strange. In the 1986 Oliver Stone movie Platoon at 33 minutes and 53 seconds into the movie the character “bunny” played by Kevin Dillon clearly throws a yoyo down that he was holding in his right hand. When I googled for information about this scene google said that there is no such scene in the movie and that the character never threw a yoyo at any point in the movie.
From google;
“There is no record or evidence of Kevin Dillon’s character, Bunny, throwing a yo-yo at that specific timestamp—or at any other point—in Oliver Stone’s 1986 film ***[Platoon”
P.S.
The time stamp I have is while viewing the streaming service from Amazon Prime Video
I know, me too. It’s completely out of character, according to google however during the alcohol and drug fueled gathering scene in the barracks, bunny is holding a yoyo in his hand and chews a piece of aluminum off a beer can and hands it to the lieutenant, and then he throws down the yoyo as the camera pans away. I figured someone would’ve known by now what kind of yoyo it was but then I read what google said about it and I’m intrigued.
Doesn’t sound like the work of my folks back on Planet Cat. The only thing about Earth they are aware of is the Disco music… That stuff is like a galactic herpes.
That’s the scene I am referring to and he clearly throws a yoyo down and the scene cuts away before it returns to his hand. Google says it never happened. It kinda looks like a midnight special to me.
I watched it twice. I never saw an actual yo-yo being thrown down; did you? I agree the motion looks very much like a breakaway, but I did not see the yo-yo.
