Those sapphires are crazy cool

Sounds like this is a pattern…may be time to self reflect. I personally don’t see anything wrong with people calling out ludicrous prices. If you’re going to ask unreasonable prices for things, just keep them; it sounds like you don’t want to get rid of them to begin with. Also, insulting the community certainly won’t help either

He’s selling #6 and #6 is pictured on his website.

Any idea how many carats the Sapphires are? Typically a one carat sapphire is around 6mm. If it’s a deep blue natural sapphire then these average around 2500$. Assuming these are both one carat mid range natural sapphires then your looking at roughly 5k for the gem stones. Then add another 1300$ for the gold and titanium and it’s easily a 6300$ piece just in the value of the materials. Couple that with the extreme rarity of this piece and I don’t see why it shouldn’t be valued at a bare minimum of 7k. That be a private seller price. At auction it could potentially pull the 10k you’re asking from the right collector. Good luck with the sale!

I only asked if it was a typo simply because I thought it was. I too have never seen or heard of this yo-yo. I followed your link, to your museum, and found what I guess is your valuation of $1250. Sorry, didn’t mean to offend you.
