Pheasant Monometal is YoYoFriend’s first flagship monometal. Based on the Pheasant 2023, they tweaked the shape by adding more stages and weight to create flow and a splash of fun on top of pure performance.
This has resulted in a yoyo that can not only perform well in contests but also a great yoyo for everyday use. They truly think this design is a standout for our monometal offerings and are proud to call their new flagship model.
Pheasant 2023 is a yoyo inspired by the Japanese players. We interviewed alot of players in Japan and designed accordingly. This yoyo maximizes the ease of use and control in contest situations.
It features extreme weight distribution, lightweight for maneuverability, stability and large gap width for multiple string layering. Giving player the most confidence in high stress combo and in contests.

Same, never been a huge fan of rainbow rings, would be much more tempted to scoop one up with a raw rim. That being said, anyone hesitating on picking up the monometal should try it, definitely a good yoyo, has a lot of power, plays slightly heavier than the 65.6g weight suggests imo, but feels good.
