There was no vote on colour choice. Whoever stepped up and bought #1 got to choose (between choices offered) what the first 50 would be; originally the proposed colours were only blue and silver, so that meant 51-100 would be silver. They teasted us a bit with that matte “black-ish” one but AFAIK it was never really a viable option.
Most of the conversations surrounding colour were ultimately academic exercises… maybe we were trying to convince the anonymous #1 (not consciously, mind you)…? Maybe trying to sort out the other colour (between polished, raw, or brushed silver)… in the case of blue, brushed or not brushed…? and then of course some of us just didn’t understand that it wasn’t really up to us anyhow. More like a “what’s your favourite colour for Titanium?” conversation thread.
What I’m NOT sure about is if the early buyers all wanted silver except a select few… what they will end up doing.
Hmmm…I got the impression that although the yo-yos will be numbered 1-50 blue, the first 50 buyers will still get a color choice of either blue or silver. For example, buyer #13 might choose silver and get an engraved #63.
That’s more or less what I was given to believe, too. But with an exception: I thought it was the first 100 would get a choice, which would potentially be complicated.
The first 50 makes more sense mathematically. Still glad I got in on that first 50, though. I wouldn’t want to be #60 and have to have blue because the silver are all gone.
I think I’m #3 for buying the Ti’s that are not prototypes. Does that mean I get #3 blue? I hate odd numbers and would rather have an even number. I wonder if being #3 allows me to be the third to choose any number between 1 and 100. :-\ I only have even numbered Ricochets too. I can’t tell where I am in line for the other multiples because of those “private” contribution amounts.
I think those “anonymous” “private” contributions are from the haters who pop in here now and then. They donated in the closet. I know there are other reasons, but I bet that accounts for a few of them.
haha, I think I’m #2. I think that means we get to choose either. I am planning on going with the silver option at the moment, so I suspect I would get #51 or 52. At least that’s how I’ve understood it would play out.
New perks up! Sounds like they’ll be switching up the perks every 24 hours for the remaining days. The new ones today don’t particularly appeal to me, but we’ll see what else comes along. I would be interested in the Replay if it was sold alone though, a high quality plastic organic looks awesome.
I know there are other reasons, but I bet that accounts for a few of them.
