Yoyo on the Belt: Pouches, Holsters, Cases

This is my favourite, but won’t fit a wide yoyo

I’ve got a Canopy sling, it’s wonderful. Only draw back is it doesn’t work for most modern responsive throws, which isn’t a problem because those fit nicely in a pocket

Of the slings I’ve tried (G2, homemade, MYY) it takes the cake. Dangles the least and looks awesome, very utilitarian design. The one handed features are also really handy

Worth hunting for, it’s the only one I use now

I’ve done something similar with a small purse and yyf fiVe. Yoyos as charms/jewelry is a super interesting concept

Amazon has some pretty decent EDC holders/holsters which look ideal for throws:

Ive also found this brand called ALPAKA which do fairly high quality edc and tech organiser’s which again would fit throws

I have a bunch of yo-yo edc accessories that I make. I have posted them here.

My most popular design is the 3-pack:

I also developed an optional clip for the 3-pack that allows it to be worn on a belt loop.

I have a final small run (~18) of Heather gray 3-packs that I have been sloooooowly working on over the past year or so… :face_with_hand_over_mouth: If anyone is interest, I do have a contact list that I am compiling for when I finally complete them. We’re about to have another baby, so I hope you’re feeling patient.

Edit: oh and I almost forgot, I made a follow up design to the Bearhug (now called the The Sport Holster) - this is the Trad Holster - it is optimized for high wall yo-yos, but works with most yo-yo designs.

Can vouch for this, that Bear&Fox 3-pack and the TK pouch are the only things I’ve traveled with for a little over a year at this point, still holding up well!

Always good to be ready in case you stumble upon a wild yoyo contest.

Not as fancy as these, but I’ll share one of the simpler methods again here:

I like to have an unresponsive and pair of loppers on me so I can switch styles depending on my mood. I’m considering messing with 3a and carrying two YoYo’s will be pivotal for that as well.

I was just giving you a hard time. That’s perfectly understandable. I hope to be jumping on the 3A bandwagen soon. Also, I have an idea for a hand-made holster for a 3A pair, but it’ll probably be early next year before I get to that.

That’s honestly one of my issues with big or multiple YoYo’s is how do I carry them. I default to a Fanny pack but there’s got to be a better way.

Pretty sure Lowepro or another camera bag company would have a small pouch for carrying lenses or p&s cameras in that would be perfect.

Just started making these.

I think practically speaking, one of the best solutions for carrying 3-5 yoyos is probably to put them in hardshell cases (I.e. the zipping clamshell cases MYY or some headphones use) and toss those in a drawstring backpack. If you just have one oversized throw with you, you could probably place it loose in the bag since the other yoyos would already have padding. I may work on a more elegant solution down the line.
