I think I’ve joined
Heh. Of course they did. I told you encrypting the beacon with jazz chords wasn’t a good idea. Now the swarm’s awake, and everyone’s pointing fingers at me again. Typical.
Fine. Yes. It was probably my fault. But admit it…things would be boring around here without me.
Looking great brother!!
Confirmed!
@Wildo Welcome to the Club! You have been added to the member list in the first post.
Any time @Pun1sh3R adds someone to the club roster
Thanks Cody! I appreciate it. I’m pretty familiar with a lot of ya’s. However it’s nice to be added formally. I don’t think I can make the ceremony though,

Good evening Boomers, I have a query for the hive and figured the demographics of this group might have some thoughts.
I was wondering if anyone can recommend a suitable throw for a 6 year old? My oldest son asked me to get him a yoyo earlier so i want get him one. I gave him a few old throws I had from when I was a kid a while back (a moose silver bullet 6000, a random wood yoyo and a yomega x-brain) but I want to get him something suitable that he might stick with.. any thoughts?
Origen.
It will have a premium feel and kid friendly price. Being on the smaller side of the spectrum also helps.
Ill DM you a link.
One of my youngsters loved the Yoyo Factory ONE. The other preferred the Grind Machine with hubstacks. So a couple options there too.
Mine mostly play responsive.
Origen seconded. They’re really good yo-yos, even better considering their price tag.
Duncan First-Yo is a good option, has soft silicone rims making it a bit more friendly for younger kids. My youngest is a couple years older than your son, but plays with a iYoyo Shooting Star, a Duncan Dragonfly, and a Yomega Spectrum more than any of the other throws in the house. The Origen mentioned by others is also a good option.
I like what @MinerJ was recommending here as you can’t be sure what sort of torture the “first” yo-yo may have to endure as really young ones can be especially hard on any toy. As such, the Duncan First Yo-yo is a good choice. Also some of the others mentioned are also great choices. Here is where I will depart from the others so far… the Origen. It is a fantastic throw, I am not heaping any negativity on it, it’s just that since you are introducing something new, and kids can be quick to lose interest in things, maybe the Origen could be held out as an achievement reward for stickto-itivness. Give them a shiny pretty goal to strive for. Just a suggestion.
I’m thinking the Duncan might be the way to go as it’ll hopefully do less damage when it inevitably gets swung around like a grappling hook. Also I mentioned to him that I was going to pick something up for him on the way home this evening and he seemed to have already lost interest ![]()
Don’t lose hope. ![]()
