Yoyo Boomers Club

Got it. I was mostly asking about the Boomer Club involvement; wasn’t sure if the mustache/challenges helped with fundraising in any way.
I’ve had a handlebar mustache for 10+ years and it accounts for ~90% of my conversations with the general public :joy:

White coat fear so no doc for me. I’m on a don’t ask don’t tell basis with cancer and disease. Fingers crossed on quick and painless for the win!

It was so bad they gave me my vas deferens in a jar of formaldehyde as a consolation prize.

I have a fear of doctors but have several rare medical conditions including an extremely painful rare genetic disability so I have to conquer my fears often.

Doctors frequently say I have high blood pressure but it’s only when I’m actually in a doctors office lol. They tried to medicate the blood pressure once and it resulted in me passing out from low blood pressure once I wasn’t stressed out in a doctors office anymore.

I had a bunch of surgeries on my feet. Learned to walk in casts. No thanks on doctors and hospitols

If I let my fear of drs keep me from them I would be very very not alive at this point. Too many health events that would have turned into hospitalization if I didn’t see my primary care and trust my doctor that I’ve been going to for over a decade explicitly.

I still get high blood pressure when infront of a dr but my primary care will go as far as to not wear the stethoscope and take off the white coat so she’s just plain clothes and tries to keep it more friendly and informal. Obviously she still has to do the examination and junk but it goes a long way.

This won’t dissuade me I’m absolutely not wanting to have any more kids and a bit of pain will save me from any more is worth it. 3 kids is plenty I’ve done my part for society lol

I am glad that it has worked well and kept you healthy. I have been very fortunate that my health issues are structural and so a suck it up and walk it off approach works for me. I did quit smoking and drinking, and I hit the stairmaster like it owes me money 4× a week. So ounce of prevention pound of cure is the route I’m going. Trust is hard

It is worth it. The no anesthetic version was more painful than my main disability. It was still worth it. I would DIY it before I had more children.
