If you really want to play guitar, do yourself a favor and DO NOT just buy whatever is the cheapest. I sold guitars for over 15 years and that’s the worst thing a new player can do. Go find a shop that you can try them, and get something with at least a solid top. Try a bunch of guitars, play really nice ones so you can see what a nice guitar sounds and plays like. If you can’t spend the extra money, keep saving, it will help you in the long run.

I do want to add, affordable guitars have gotten MUCH better over the past decade or so. The quality gap between cheap and mid price is much larger than between mid price and high end

So you dont necessarily have to go super expensive, but the cheapest thing on the shelf is usually not worth it if you can save up a bit more and get a significantly better product for a bit more.
