Yoyo Boomers Club

A few tricks I have that are on the easier side would be Dolphin Flip, 50-50, Tailspin Slack, Tension Bird, and Mystic Dump Triangle.

Dolphin Flip is half Kickflip/half Mindbender Stall-icide. If you can do a Kickflip, it’s not that much of a stretch to learn Dolphin Flip.

50-50 is a reverse polarity string grind.

Tailspin Slack is a sideways spinning slack from Brother Stall where the TH index stays in the trapeze loop, NTH index is released and the yoyo and the string spin in unison and the slack is caught back on the NTH index.

Tension Bird is an easier version of Bird where the string is pulled creating tension to direct the yoyo onto the finger and hold the yoyo in place. It could also be a good stepping stone to learning Bird.

Mystic Dump Triangle is probably the hardest of these 5, but if you can do GT Stall and Mystic Dump, it’s not much of a stretch to learn it.

I’m saving another trick for the “guest trick” that I think everyone will be happy with . And don’t worry, it’s not as hard as Mysto Set. I won’t do something that hard again. Unless it’s requested.

If you guys want a tutorial for any of these tricks, or anything else, just let me know.:purple_heart:

Any tutorials you want to do are welcome. We can add them in each week of FAF!

@Splizacular Reverse polarity is just a way of saying the yoyo is on the string the opposite way of what it normally would be. For example, if you were in a Trapeze Stall and you did a 180 Varial(half Varial), you would be in a Reverse Polarity Trapeze. 50-50 is the 2nd trick in this video:

@Pun1sh3R Sounds good! I’ll make some extra tutorials and you can use them however you like.

I’ll commit to a Dead ‘Orse. I bought one from the first batch, but the dims were off from the original one and I’ve never really gotten the feel for it. That first Dead ‘Orse for @Pun1sh3R though plays so amazingly well. I’d love one of those.

I saw you were planning on doing a run of BloodCells and Buttons and wasn’t sure if I wanted to hold out for one of those instead. Im basically torn between wanting a heavier Button (mine currently is 46g) or a Dead ‘Orse. Unfortunately I can’t do both since it’s right after the holidays.

Its about that time to pass on the v1 workhorse PIF! Who wants next?

Ive loved my time with it. Its the throw ive been most consistent at hitting kickflips with, as well as just such a nice yoyo to hold.

I’ve got a few ideas for FAF this year. Here’s the first, paying homage to a certain boomer-friend who makes fixies.

I assume that’s me?..

i think this would be dope if the unicorns were less cartoony impo. we need to get UN to do a design colab. the UN unicorns on the mk1 unicorn look amazing!

I concur. Just a thought, what if we changed up the rounded type writer find this year and did a more “shop tee” type cursive? We can have it briefly overlap the main graphic art to close some of the empty space a bit. Just thinking out loud here.

I would prefer that we highlight our own branding as we’re putting in the work to put on the event.
